IPSA Research Committee # 12 (Biology and Politics) is dedicated to exploring the linkage between biology and politics. Practically, this translates into a variety of research foci:

(1) policy issues emerging from the life sciences (bioethics, health policy, sex preselection);

(2) evolutionary bases of human political behavior;

(3) physiological influences on political behavior;

(4) development of research methods to assay the linkage between biology and politics.

To achieve these goals, the Research Committee sponsors panels at professional meetings, provides relevant information to members, and facilitates exchange of ideas on biology and politics.
